Can I order less than the required minimums? Yes, but keep in mind that the prices you see are for those minimums. Orders placed for less than our minimums will be subject to a higher price, depending on your final quantity. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss quantity and pricing.
When should I order my favors? You can place an order for wedding and event favors at any time as long as it is at least 2-3 weeks before your desired pickup or shipping date. The reason we ask for 2-3 weeks notice is so we can adequately plan our production schedule. Weddings typically happen during particular times and event days in the year, and to ensure we deliver the best product possible to you, we need to keep it within a workable schedule. So get those orders in early to avoid missing out or incurring a rush charge.
How do I order favors? Orders for wedding and event favors are only taken over the phone or in our store. Please call 504.523.5662, Monday - Sunday from 10am-5pm CST. If you're not ready to order but have some questions, and can't find the answer here, you can email us at email@example.com. Orders cannot be taken via email. If you'd like to sample the candy, you are always welcome to visit us at 714 St. Louis Street in the French Quarter during our normal business hours, and orders can be taken in person as well.
I missed the 2 week deadline to order, is it too late? Possibly not, we often make exceptions. Please be aware that orders placed with less than 14 days notice may be subject to a $40 rush fee. Orders placed with even less notice may incur additional charges. If you are concerned about incurring a rush fee or late fee, please call us and we will let you know if a fee will be applied to your order.
My event is not in New Orleans, do you ship Wedding and Event favors? Yes, we currently only ship pralettes and creamy pralines favors. We cannot ship the regular sized traditional praline because they do not ship well at large quantities. We do suggest expedited shipping be arranged in some cases. Some instances include orders for creamy pralines shipped in the summer months, to avoid softening and damage.
I placed my order months ago, but my guest list has changed, and the wedding is a few weeks away, what can I do? We do ask for adequate notice when changes need to be made to your order. If your order is for unlabelled favors, 10 business days notice is adequate notice to make increases or decreases to your order. Orders that have labels included, are harder to change. While we do not make the candy until 24-48 hours before your pickup/shipping date, we do make the labels anywhere from 1-4 weeks before your event depending on when you placed your order. If you need to decrease the order and your labels have been made you will be required to pay for the unused labels - which will be provided to you. If changes are requested the week of your event, it may not be possible, but we will do our best to accommodate you.
When will my favor order be made? All orders, regardless of when the order is placed are made within 24-48 hours or your requested pick or shipping date. We do not make the candy when you place your order or hold candy from when you place the order. All orders are always fresh when you receive them.
Can I change the colors of your label choices? Yes, of course! You will find a selection of colors we've devised based on wedding popularity. You can choose just about any of our label designs with any of our color choices. If you have a color that you do not see among our choices, please email us a swatch or sample and we will do our best to match that color. We recommend when choosing the background and text color, that there is enough contrast between the two. All of our color choices with the exception of white look best with white text and imagery.
Can you make a label with artwork that I provide? Absolutely! If you have a wedding logo or design we can print it as long as the artwork is a high-res pdf, jpeg or tiff file. Email us firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss what you are looking for.
General FAQSWhat is the shelf life and best way to store your pralines? We would like our pralines to be enjoyed within 2-3 weeks from receipt, for optimum flavor. The best way to store them is in an airtight container.
Why are there white spots on my pralines? The white spots are a natural process called crystallization. Because our pralines are made with NO preservatives, the white spots occur over time as the cooked sugar returns to its original crystal form. The process begins as soon as the candy leaves the pot, and does not affect flavor. For optimum flavor please enjoy your pralines within 2-3 weeks or purchase.
What forms of payment do you accept? We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept Paypal when you order online.
Does Leah's Pralines charge sales tax on shipped orders? Out of state shipments are not subject to taxation.
What shipping carrier do you use? We currently ship all online orders through USPS priority shipping, which will take an additional 3-5 days depending on its final destination. We can also ship via UPS upon request. See next question for more info on delivery time.
How long will my order take to arrive? All of our handmade products are made fresh to order. We appreciate your patience in allowing sufficient time for production and shipping. The processing and production of your order typically takes 2-3 business days. We currently ship all online orders through USPS priority shipping, which will take an additional 3-5 days depending on its final destination.
What if I need my order by a specific date? Please make a note of when your order needs to be received at its destination in the order comments section of the checkout process. We will do every we can do ensure it is delivered by that date. No order placed online will be received in less than 5 business days. If you need an order in less time you can call us at 504.523.5662 to arrange expedited shipping, if possible.
How can I track my order? Unfortunately, at this time, our online ordering system does not automatically send our customers tracking info. If you have questions about your shipment or if its been more than 2 weeks since you placed your order, please email us at email@example.com. We will be able to track your package and inform you about its location and estimated time of arrival.
Shipping to more than one address? Unfortunately at this time online orders must be made separately when sending different items to different addresses. If you want to send items to multiple addresses, you can always call us at the store and place your order over the phone.
